Alkaline battery is most famous for their alkaline electrolyte. Like all dry batteries, the structure of alkaline battery is mainly composed of anode and cathode of the battery, and electrolyte. The  common shape of alkaline battery is cylindrical. The specific structure of the alkaline battery and the analysis of its constituent materials are as follows:

1. Anode: Anode ring is in close contact with the outer shell, which is pressed by electrolytic manganese dioxide, graphite and carbon black duck. A nickel-plated steel shell with a anode cap on the outer shell, and the steel shell doubles as a anode current collector.

2.Cathode: The paste is made of powdered zinc particles, which is located in the middle of the lithium battery, and a brass current collector is inserted in it, which is connected to the bottom of the cathode.

3.Electrolyte: It is a paste KOH electrolyte, which is mixed with the cathode to make a paste.

4. Diaphragm and sealing ring: Inside the battery, the anode and cathode are separated by a diaphragm, and the steel shell is separated from the outside by a nylon or polypropylene sealing ring.

The structure of alkaline battery from the outside to the inside are: sealing ring, steel shell (also serving as a anode current collector), anode, diaphragm, cathode, electrolyte, copper tube (also serving as a cathode current collector), etc. In addition, there is a button-shaped alkaline battery, usually called AG battery, which is a type of button battery.

Alkaline battery of various shapes are basically the same in structure. alkaline battery are primary batteries with zinc as the negative electrode, manganese dioxide as the anode, and potassium hydroxide solution as the electrolyte.
